New panel meter for flow, counting and rotational process measurement

tatus Instruments has launched DM4500F, a new Frequency / Pulse count meter which accepts various types of pulse and frequency sensors to display Rate, Totalise, Flow, RPM and Pulse Count. The DM4500F is ideal for applications such as rotational measurement, counting items on a conveyor or measuring flow rates. When used as frequency meter and pulse counter, the DM4500F uses a five-digit resolution. With two digital inputs available, maths functions can be used to find, for example, the difference between two flow rate totals. The Totalizer function has an eight-digit resolution displayed in two parts and can be linked to the optional output relays for example, to trip at a given total. It also has a remote digital reset facility. All parameters can be entered by pressing combinations of the three sealed front panel keys through a series of menus in helpful mnemonics or via the optional communications port. The five digit display on the DM4500F can be programmed to read in three different colours – red, green and orange - and two levels of brightness.

CAN-Ethernet Gateway device H

Web: www.castell.com enter 817

BM has developed a CAN-Ethernet Gateway device for its digital weighing technology components that significantly simplifies the

integration in higher-level control environments. The CAN interface directly accesses up to 128 digital FIT load cells and AED transducer electronics; the Gateway acts as the CANopen Master. Users can easily configure weighing components using the Ethernet interface that is integrated with the Gateway. In addition, remote system monitoring and diagnosis of individual components is possible using the Ethernet interface. HBM digital weighing

technology can be very easily integrated into higher-level control systems with this new Gateway. Typical applications can be found, for example, in dosing or filling machines. The user benefits from the advantages of digital weighing technology, such as simpler internal data flows, faster and more accurate filling, as well as cost reduction.

Netherlocks develops Remote Operation for FAITH PST System

esigned in response to customer demand, Dutch valve safety product manufacturer Netherlocks has developed the facility for entirely remote operation of its FAITH Partial Stroke Test (PST) system for ESD and HIPPS* valves. This means that the mechanically-safe, fully- online testing of these critical valves can now be initiated and performed from the safety and convenience of the control room, without having to manually access the valve.

D Netherlocks’

commitment to innovative design and customer satisfaction has enabled the company to now make this product remotely operable without affecting usability or functionality. Traditionally, an operator would have to access the valve itself to manually insert a key to start a test. The new development means that the whole process can now be done remotely from the control room, making it significantly easier and faster. The FAITH system at all times facilitates the partial stroke testing of valves, without any risk of overshoot or process interruption. The test is never aborted without getting results, and the unique design means that tests can be performed at real speed – just as it would be for real operation in an emergency.

Innovative and Reliable Ball and Needle Valve Solutions

ifold has been manufacturing Ball and Needle Valve products for more than 20 years.

The

products have all been designed to overcome the problems of traditional assemblies on primary isolation and venting duties. Our new compact design range of Ball and Needle Valve products have been developed for low / medium pressure applications with an operating range from 1,000 psi / 70 bar up to 10,000 psi / 1380 bar. Constructed from UNS S31600 / S31603 Stainless Steel (alternative materials available), in compliance with NACE MR-01-75 as standard and with ¼” NPT up to 2” NPT within the range. Our Ball Valve range is available as a single piece body design, reducing potential leak paths to the outside environment along with an anti-blow out stem and pressure energised stem seal which ensures seal integrity. The use of PEEK seat and stem seal materials allows operation over a wide temperature range from - 20°C to +180°C, with alternative temperature range from -45°C to +225°C. The unique design incorporates lower and consistent torque to operate and pressure tested in accordance with API 598 & BS EN 12266-1.
