The units came in on train ME-5 from Binghamton, and will sanded and fueled before departing the next morning on train MB-2, heading back from whence they came.

Eastbound refrigerator cars had ice added from a long elevated platform in the upper receiving yard prior to being sent over the hump. Westbound traffic was delivered directly to a smaller yard on the north side of the site operated by the D&H. This yard was flat switched, as there was relatively little switching
required on arriving B&M trains pre- blocked at yards to the east. Each railroad maintained good size terminal facilities where the motive power was serviced, as this was the end of runs for most trains on both roads. The B&M had a fairly extensive shop complex where moderately heavy maintenance was carried out on steam locomotives, and a portion of the shop
