quency (in general terms), most inter- modal trains operate on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule. However, there are intermodal trains that do op- erate daily. It is common to see approx- imately ten intermodal trains during the Tuesday through Saturday day- light window in and out of Selkirk. They generally carry “Q” and “L” 0 and 100-series symbols. Freight trains are also in abundance,
and it is common to see not less than 20 manifest trains operate in and out of Selkirk Yard. Several ethanol and mul- tilevel trains, along with sporadic coal, garbage, and grain trains also compli- ment the manifests. The freights gen- erally carry “Q” symbols in the 300 and 400-series (an exception is Q263) for
