Your feedback in exchange for a Cupcake

Leading uniform supplier wants your opinion K

eltic Clothing is fi rmly established as an innovator in the world of parking uniforms – but it’s a joint eff ort, says Director David

Barry. “We value the continuous feedback we receive from Parking Managers and the chance to test new products on the front line, which helps our products evolve” says David. Keltic, which celebrates 10 years in parking this year, is in the fi nal stages of developing two exciting new products, designed to improve the welfare, comfort and morale of parking staff , and will be inviting comments from visitors to their stand at Parkex. T e reward on the day will be one of Keltic’s famous cupcakes – and who knows – you may even win the mystery prize if you fi nd the golden ticket in your cupcake!

Lighten the load with the new !

Pity the poor CEO – not only do they patrol the UK’s streets in all weathers, walking up to 15 miles per shift, but they also have to carry a huge amount of equipment. Up until now, utility belts have

been the preferred method of carrying all this equipment, but feedback from wearers has been that all that weight being carried across the middle of the body is very uncomfortable, and can lead to morale- plummeting back pain and foot pain, as well as much more serious problems with the back and feet that lead to time off .

The ParkVests are a big hit with the CEOs

as they have removed the need to wear a utility belt and the weight of their equipment is more evenly distributed

Mandy Chapman, Ipswich Council is based on

“Our new

the Police-issue Tactical Vest, but with a number of specifi c pockets and add-ons for the special equipment CEO’s carry, allowing the weight to be spread evenly across the upper body” says David. T is helps to prevent back pain, foot pain, and increase morale and deployment by decreasing sickness and absence. “T is is

a win-win for both CEOs and Parking Managers” says David. T e

even has specifi c pockets

for a printer that allows a ticket to be issued without removing the printer from the pocket, PCN pockets, and the option to add on Klickfast docks for radios/bodycams. Keltic’s new

is available in

black or fl uorescent yellow with Refl exite tape – providing the option to be highly visible – and don’t forget, they want your feedback!

Stay cool in the new SHIRT

“T e traditional Pilot Shirt is really the only piece of uniform left that dates back to when traffi c wardens were fi rst introduced in 1960, and we felt it was time for an update” says David. T e new

SHIRT looks like

an upmarket poloshirt and shares many similarities with the high tech sports clothing worn by top athletes. T is ground breaking shirt is made from a moisture wicking fabric that will draw moisture away from the body when the wearer gets hot, and it has the required epaulettes for CEOs to display their individual CEO numbers. “By its nature this fabric is very quick drying, making it a handy addition to the CEO uniform because it can be washed and dried quickly” says David “and of course it can be very practical if you happen to be caught out in the rain, which is something every CEO can relate to!”

T is shirt belongs to Keltic’s innovative RANGE which is at the cutting

edge of parking uniforms both in terms of fabric and design. If you’d like to see this and the rest of the

RANGE, SHIRT

Keltic will have it on display on stand D42 by the Parkex Cafe. If you can’t make it to Parkex, you can call Vicki Whitbrook on 01922 616999 any time before or after the event.
