HUMAN AFROLUTION This is quite simply the greatest games industry afro we’ve received so far. It has shape, thickness, good
condition – everything you could want from a ‘fro.
This incredible
specimen belongs to Sol from Gamestation in Liverpool’s St Johns Shopping Centre. He looks just like Deus Ex’s Adam Jensen, with his moody specs, stern face, stiff pose... and bouncy hair. Perhaps his afro is augmented to ensnare shoplifters or boost his strength as he lugs console bundles around the store.

LEE CURTAINS Off The Record regular Lee Kirton has been the subject of much whispering and sniggering at Namco Bandai HQ over the past week, thanks to the discovery of this: an interview about the original Driverwith Mr Kirton sporting curtains (below right). Could Kirton’s Curtains make a comeback? Clearly this is the hairstyle that wins over the hearts and minds of younger games execs. Behold – GameSpot’s Chris Thomas also rocked the curtains before his time in the industry (above right). Aw. Elsewhere, Kirton is not the only Namco noggin that has sparked discussion. Peter Oliver’s Justin Bieber mop (below) has proven to be just as popular.
