OFF THE RECORD

This week, Capcom hosts Street Fighter DJ battles and recruits zombie hunters, and we celebrate more stunning games industry hairstyles. Plus, all your favourites such as I Love, #FollowFriday and We’ll Call You

FIGHT NIGHT

Capcom invited journalists and beat ‘em up fans to London for a special launch party to mark the release of Street Fighter X Tekken.

There were themed cocktails available from the Loading café team, including the Chun-Li Iced Tea and Bloody Bison, as well as plenty of beer. Attendees were entertained by a Street Fighter-inspired routine from dance group One Motion and a DJ battle between the winners of a Facebook competition. The entire event was streamed on Facebook – although we can’t imagine browser-based cocktails taste as good.

ZOMBIE OUTBREAK WARNING

Think you could hold your own in a zombie apocalypse? Then Capcom needs you.

The publisher is holding special events in London, Bristol and Manchester to promote this month’s Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Zombies will take over these town centres and Capcom needs volunteers to join the Umbrella Security Services and fight back. Sign up at www.capcom-europe.com/reorc. The UK team ran a similar event for Dead Rising 2in 2010, where zombies invaded London (pictured).
