The ‘2K Games Weekend’ offer ran from Thursday, March 8th to Monday, March 12th and slashed up to 50 per cent off the firm’s entire catalogue. The most popular was Sid Meier’s Civilization Vwith the Game of the YearSKU taking No.1, followed by the standard game at No.2.
The Civilizationseries held six positions in the Top 20, with strong sales for various Civ Vexpansion packs and predecessor Civ IV.
Other 2K titles in the chart include the BioShockseries, Borderlands: Game of the Year, last year’s NBA title and February FPS The Darkness II. All in all, the publisher’s titles accounted for 11 of the Top 20.
BETHESDA’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimheld its own against the 2K onslaught, maintaining both its No.3 position and its £34.99 price point.
There was one new entry – Stacking from DOUBLE FINE. Mass Effect 3 from EA is unavailable on Steam, but it is on EA’s Origin service and selected other digital retailers.
