Gibdock says it looks forward to
continuing its close working relationship with Pullmatur Cruises over the coming years. “Pullmantur is a repeat customer and the docking of the Pullmantur Zenith is another vote of confidence in us”, says Beards. “With cruise repair facilities in Barcelona closing down we are demonstrating through projects of this type that we are more than capable of filling the gap.” Other recent cruise ship visitors to Gibdock

Beards says: “In many ways this was a routine drydocking, but with two large cruise ships docking one aſter the other we had to make doubly sure we managed the time pressures very carefully. Both vessels had to be completed by very specific dates in order to be able to maintain their cruise schedules and we once again demonstrated our reliability by delivering both ships within the time scales set by the owners.” The 214m long, 1982-built Thomson Destiny is on long term charter with Tomson

2nd - 4th May 2012
The Royal Institution of Naval Architects is pleased to announce another opportunity to attend Dr Kenneth Fisher’s highly successful three day training programme. The course is primarily designed for project managers who handle day-to-day relations with other parties, people who form contracts and senior managers who monitor
cash flow for marine related projects. Those attending the course will be better able to identify the pitfalls and traps experienced within the industry, and be more prepared to identify all the costs, schedule changes and to properly assign responsibilty for those changes and effects. This will save companies considerable sums in each major contract.
