2K tells MCVit has invested heavily on TV advertising, with spots running across Channel 4, Channel 5, SyFy and the Horror Channel. It will also run ads on other satellite and cable stations.


ONLINE


The Darkness IIhas already appeared on a wide range of specialist games websites, with ads appearing on big- name sites such as IGN, GameSpot and VideoGamer.


RADIO


A four-week promotion will run on rock radio station Kerrang in a bid to promote The Darkness II on UK airwaves.


RETAIL/OUTDOOR


2K Games has reached a deal with specialist comic book retail chain Forbidden Planet, which includes window displays, game demo pods and branded bags.


There will also be 12-sheet posters advertising The Darkness IIin London Underground stations.


2K says it has also organised a variety of community and consumer events to promote the FPS.
