Here’s a great way to educate your clients in 2012 and encourage them to book a course of facial treatments - the iiaa have launched their new Taster Experiences, available free of charge to salons offering Environ skin care.

Hosted by an iiaa skin analysis expert, salon owners invite six clients throughout the day for a skin scanning appointment, where their skin is first analysed using powerful imaging equipment to identify issues from fine lines to congestion and hyper- pigmentation, after which a 30 minute ‘taster’ facial is given.

Danielle Coller, skin analysis events manager at iiaa, who created the new format ‘Taster Experience’ event, explains: “This is a very personal tailored experience. People who want to see results and like learning about their skin love to receive professional guidance.”

Sound like a great idea to us! Retrowedding day

Triumph for Waterford salon

Big congratulations to Olivere Lannen of Olivere’s Health & Beauty in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford who won Best Small Business 2011 at the FBD Business Awards.

Hosted by the Dungarvan West Waterford Chamber of Commerce Ball and presented by Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar, the awards recognised businesses who have achieved success, and Olivere’s was up against stiff competition.

Well done Olivere!

Love was in the air as current Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter modelled for a wedding shoot.

Make-up artists Marie Joseph and Deborah Leonard created some amazing looks using French Cosmetics’ Academie skin care and Christian Breton cosmetics.

“We had great fun on the Irish Wedding Diary shoot where Holly Carpenter and last year’s Miss Ireland Emma Waldron, modelled for Christian Breton’s new ‘Retro look’ make-up,” Sarah Beirne, Sales and Marketing Manager French Cosmetics told us. “The looks created were amazing and really showcased the Christian Breton range! Ruth Foran Photography had the perfect studio for the shoot and created some very unique shots.”

Celebrating20years!

Australian Bodycare is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To kick off their celebrations, French Cosmetics Distributors are offering great incentives to visitors to their stand at next month’s Irish Beauty Show.

The brand’s tea tree skin care and hygienic wax products are renowned across the world, with the most popular products being Skin Wash, Hand & Body Lotion and their Hy wax system.

Daybreak’s Sonia Butterworth opened an evening of ‘What Women Want’ recently to raise vital funds for the Cancer Centre, based in Belfast.

Hairdresser Lisa Stafford, with model Gemma McRory and event host, iiaa brand stockist Elaine O’Roarty.

The event, held at Seventh Heaven Therapies’ by owner Elaine O’Roarty offered health, hair, beauty and style secrets from experts, including the iiaa’s skin care and make-up experts. They also offered skin scanning and showcased the ANP supplement range.

Livia Firth, wife of the Oscar winning actor Colin, recently underwent a transformation with Jane Iredale mineral make-up when she took part in a make-over, filmed for her eco-friendly website www.eco-age.com

Day and Night looks were created by MUA Nathalie Eleni. Livia first discovered the Jane Iredale range when she met a make-up artist at the New York premier of The King’s Speech. Have to say, we’re more than a little jealous, not only of Livia’s natural beauty - but also her rather dishy beau!
