n A Domino’s pizza delivery franchisee has created an online video to increase sales, which so far has had more than 100,000 hits. To increase sales and online traffic, Anil Patil turned to the power of online video advertising to promote his Cosham and Portsmouth stores and target his key audiences.

Over the course of the 31-day campaign, more than 56,000 different people viewed the advert, which was played more than 100,000 times. Domino’s also saw a corresponding upsurge in traffic to the online sites for the Cosham and Portsmouth stores, as well as creating a buzz on their Facebook pages. Mr Patil says: “As a franchise we use a wide range of marketing channels as well as benefiting from Domino’s national advertising and support. “However we wanted to create something fun and local, that both engaged our customers and our staff. Shooting the ad was a really quick and painless process that team members really got involved in. We had a lot of people comment on the ad, both in-store and on our Facebook page and, best of all, it increased traffic to our sites. “The ad has been a real asset to us – we’ve found additional uses for the video by running it inside the stores and in campaigns at nightclubs and university bars, generating both increased exposure and sales. With these benefits it is certainly something we’d look at repeating in the future.”
