Canadian Pacific bought the only MLW RSD-17 ever built. After demonstrating on the CN it went to CPR as their No. 8921 and picked up the nickname “The Empress of Agincourt.” The HO model has parts from Broadway Limited, Kaslo Shops and Hobbycraft of Canada. A true cut and fit project, it is the work of Matt Herman, as is this RS-18, which uses a Kaslo Shops shell (you provide your own chassis). It will be CP No. 1847 and detailed for the early 1990’s.

Ray Wilcox showed a typical NYC passenger train of the early 1950’s, and one of its cars was NYC RPO 4867, a reworked Walthers Trainline model. Two windows were blanked out per prototype photos, the interior was painted and detailed, brass window bars installed and the ends and underbody had details replaced or added. His friend, Tom Travers, did a similar MEC conversion, eliminating one window (not plating it over). Both HO models have PSC mail catchers and steps. The freight car movement now has a passenger car equivalent.
