nyone over 35 years of age can probably remember a time when audiovisual (AV) based home entertainment consisted of a TV with three channels to choose from, along with a ‘music


centre’ on which vinyl records, cassette tapes and the radio could be listened to. As technology has developed, so too has the way in which we integrate it within our homes, resulting in an insatiable desire for the latest and greatest multimedia systems.
