The new store will offer a wide menu of pizzas for collection and include a ‘ready to go’ option, enabling customers to pick up a pizza straight away after doing their shopping. People can also order ahead in person at the store or by phone, online or using Domino’s iPhone, iPad and Android apps. Chris Moore, chief executive of Domino’s Pizza, said: “Opening our first store with Tesco was a landmark day for us. n Domino’s Pizza has opened its first store inside a Tesco Extra. Located in Town Gate retail park in
Dudley, the new store has created 15 local jobs.
A spokesperson for Domino’s Pizza said:
“We are trialling the store in Dudley to see how the concept works in supermarkets, with a view to expanding this further if it is agreeable to both parties.”

new LaUnch: The chocolate room to open in the UK
n The Chocolate Room franchise is due to launch in London in March 2012, following its global success, particularly in India, where the network grew to 35 stores in less than four years. Jim Richardson, founder of the Australian brand, described the Indian growth as ‘extraordinary’. He said: “The master franchisee has
been quite aggressive in marketing and he plans to have nearly doubled his stores to 60 by the end of next year.”
Now Richardson is turning his attention to the Australian market, which has been slower to develop. There are five outlets in Sydney, and one in Queenscliff near Geelong where the business is based.

The master franchisee for North America opened Canada’s first store near Toronto in November, with the opening of Virginia scheduled for January 2012. Richardson continued: “I’m looking for people with a sense of ownership, who will follow guidelines, who love chocolate above all, and understand running this business is hard work.”
