Chun-yih Cheng

Chun-yih Cheng is a senior partner in the corporate and financial services practice group of Formosa Transnational Attorneys at Law. His practice mainly relates to corporate and M&A (including legal due diligence exercise, antitrust clearance and related employment transfer), as well as financial services (both regulatory and transactional). He works very closely with international law firms in advising local and international clients with their cross-border investments, transactions and financing. He represents financial institutions from the UK, Germany, Japan and the USA, in addition to local ones, in their financial transactions and legal compliance in Taiwan. Mr Cheng was mandated by the

Taiwan government for certain research or legislative projects in respect of corporate and financial laws and regulations. He also authors and contributes articles in inter alia, banking and securities regulations. Mr Cheng is also an Assistant Professor teaching corporate, competition and financial services law in the

postgraduate studies programme at the School of Law, Soochow University in Taipei.
