George Economou

George Economou is a lawyer with over 45 years’ practice experience. George is an English barrister (a tenant of Quadrant Chambers, London) and an advocate of the Supreme Court of Greece. Until recently, he was also an advocate of the Supreme Court of Cyprus.

George has extensive experience of all aspects of shipping and ship finance, construction and engineering and is involved in arbitration in England, Greece and Cyprus. His expertise in international company law, tax planning, corporate restructuring, wealth management and trusts is second-to-none.

George is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and on the panel of arbitrators and experts of a large number of arbitral and ADR bodies; also a qualified dispute resolver and a member of the Academy of Experts. George is a contributor to

international publications on shipping, tax planning, dispute resolution, international investments and finance and a speaker at international gatherings.
