Ogier provides advice on all aspects of BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey law. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive range of fiduciary services from a global network of ten offices across all time zones and key financial markets.

Ogier Cayman employs circa 135 people in its legal and fiduciary services departments. Our client base includes lending institutions, administrators, managers and law firms. We offer advice in respect of formation, establishment and operation of all forms of international financial products and structures, including special purpose vehicles, private equity partnerships, captive insurance companies and debt issuing vehicles.

Ogier Cayman is the only law firm with a substantive presence in each of the major offshore private funds jurisdictions - Jersey, Guernsey, BVI and the Cayman Islands - with the ability to provide an integrated legal and fiduciary services offering (including private fund administration) from those jurisdictions and also from our London, Hong Kong and Shanghai offices.

Ogier has a very diversified practice which is evidenced in the provenance of its clientele and in the nature of the funds and investment managers that it advises. The majority of Ogier's instructions come from North America (principally, New York, Connecticut, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and Houston). Ogier also has the largest investment funds practice for Brazilian asset managers (acting for ten of the largest twenty Brazilian asset managers, including Itau Unibanco, HSBC, BTG Pactual, BNY Mellon, Sanstander and Patria Investimentos). For large institutional clients, Ogier often works alongside it's other offices in order to provide global services

(e.g. UBS where much of work originates from Tokyo) under a variety of legal and regulatory systems. Ogier works with all the leading onshore funds law firms and advises 42 of the top 100 hedge funds, as listed by Alpha Magazine (e.g Shulte Roth & Zabel, Seward & Kissel, and Sidley Austin). Ogier conducts a number of seminars throughout the year at the offices of some of these leading onshore law firms as well as at premier industry events. Recently, Peter Cockhill was a speaker at the ABA/IBA Private Funds Seminar in London and Giorgio Subiotto has presented at conferences such as the STEP LatAm Conference and the MFA Outlook 2011 Conference in New York City.
