Dr. Helen G. Papaconstantinou
Dr Helen Papaconstantinou is the senior partner of the firm Dr. Helen Papaconstantinou, John Filias & Associates and heads the Law Office Dr. PD Theodorides – Dr. HG Papaconstantinou as of 1986. Under her leadership, the Firm has evolved into one of the leading IP Law Firms in Greece, utilizing the specialization of its two affiliated entities. Dr. Helen G. Papaconstantinou has been selected as the leading practitioner for Patents in Greece (Expert Guide 2011), as well as the female leading practitioner for the previous year (2010).
She graduated from the University
of Athens and earned a doctorate from the Free University of Berlin. Moreover, she has held an academic teaching position at the University of Athens for a number of years.
She is President of the FICPI and AIPPI Greek groups and Member of the Executive Committees of FICPI and AIPPI. In addition, she is Council Member of EPI and ECTA as well as Member of INTA, CIPA, ITMA, UNION and AIPLA.

Recent cases our office has handled include, among many other significant cases, the following: · Main Infringement Actions against Greek Patent Infringers. Our office represents a well known company in the field of consumer electronics for the protection of their patents in Greece against a significant number of third parties. In 2011, two First Instance decisions accepted our actions and raised compensations.
· Petitions for Injunction on behalf of several pharmaceutical companies against generics. A long stream of litigations concerning patent infringement against generics. Tasks included the filing of the Petitions for Injunctions and all other relevant documentation as well as attending the related hearings and submitting written arguments, monitoring the procedure and reporting thereon. The successful outcome of the cases will positively influence other similar pending cases.
· Raids at the centre of Athens and seizure of a very significant quantity of products of various famous companies, including Ferrari S.p.A., Fred Perry (Holdings) Limited. It was the result of a combined effort of both the Special Control Unit of the Ministry of Economy and the Municipal Police, following the investigation in certain warehouses and the filing of related complaints. Said Authorities have tried to strengthen legal commerce in view of the current Greek economic crisis and, in the context of combating social disorganization in the center of Athens.
