CASE STUDY MAQUET’S STAND DESIGN

The focus is to present the treatment options we provide

for specific cardiac pathologies. We will actually be running a simulation show where we will have doctors, patients and nurses acting on our clinical solutions.

Think of the show not as an obligation; instead use the

opportunity to introduce bold ideas and new concepts. The attendees of Arab Health is a very special crowd - they are here to do business.

The planning stage for a stand this size takes a whole year. The kick-off meeting for Arab Health 2012 started on the last day of AH2011

CASE STUDY: MAQUET One of the exciting stands planned for the 2012 show belongs to MAQUET and their sister companies, situated in the Sheikh Saeed halls.Their 800 sq metre stand is built to form a complete hospital replica; walking the visitor through the clinical spaces of a hospital, starting with the patient entering the A&E, through Hybrid Cath Labs, intensive care units and operating theatres, even offering a simulation show where doctors, patients and nurses acting on their clinical solutions. This is the first time in their five years at Arab Health that they don’t intend to exhibit products, but functional clinical

spaces. The focus this year is to present the treatment options MAQUET provide for specific cardiac pathologies. The planning for a stand this size is understandably a year-long process involving a large team. MAQUET have two booth managers, one based at the Head Office in Germany and one on the local team in Dubai. Each manager supervises a group of colleagues. The planning is divided between the two offices, with the team in Germany looking after the technical aspect of the show while the team in Dubai looks after the marketing and sales aspect of the stand. Mr Saleh Malek, Managing director of MAQUET Middle East explains: “Our

objectives for the stand this year is to show the group strength in general and MAQUET’s areas of expertise, in particular for conceptualizing, planning and commissioning projects. Our goal is to encourage visitors to our stand to call MAQUET for their next hospital project. As a long-term exhibitor, our stand has evolved every year and we have learned some valuable lessons on how to maximise our space at the exhibition; think of the show not as an obligation; instead we use the opportunity to introduce bold ideas and new concepts. The attendees of Arab Health is a very special crowd – They are all here to do business.”
