Thermoplastic CT hinges
CFA/F hinges offer blind fixing with a 90° stop to prevent over-opening of adjacent doors. Coupled with this Elesa now offer the CFM surface mount hinge in reinforced polyamide based technopolymer and a compan- ion version in die-cast zinc alloy. These are all designed for specialist enclosure builders to use on switchgear cabinets, machinery guards, control desks, process equip- ment housings etc. in industrial/ com- mercial environments.
guides at 500mm intervals. Together with the bright nickel fin- ished base and black glass reinforced technopolymer handle, this provides an attractive and effective door closure system. Door punchings are 2 off 50mm x 25mm holes for quick and secure installation.
Stainless locks to IP65 Stainless steel versions of the CQ lock with 90º opening and IP65 protection are ideal for corrosive environments such as food equipment or wet locker rooms where lower grade materials may have a limited life.
Other Elesa hinges include tamper- proof and double pivot hinges, as well as the CFH type in especially common sizes, and the ½ size CFG. CF hinges are of high impact strength, making them ideal for doors and guard panels in aluminium sections. Their accuracy and rigidity is appropriate to micro- switch applications.
Opening angles of 0-90° and 0-335° are provided in a piano hinge style, but in larger sizes – this gives a unique interlaced appearance, which is possi- ble by use of high impact strength technopolymer and AISI 303 stainless steel hinge pins. CFB and CFC hinges are front mounted with countersunk screws – all others are mounted from the rear to provide concealed fixings. Finish is a stylish matt black in sizes from 30mm to 97mm.
Swing handle for cabinet locking
The CL+C swing handle latch is ideal for lockers and cabinets requiring a compact easy to operate locking system with simple door mounting and galvanised rod operation at low cost.
Features of the CL+C handle include standard cylinder keys or double wing type keys, in addition sealing to IP65 is achievable with a protective plug and sealing washer, where water ingress is considered a problem. Door closure is effected with a double rod system using galvanised steel rods of 1000mm length with technopolymer edge rollers and rod

The CQ Inox locks come in two types, each with two closing lever pos- sibilities to suit different door/frame depths. AISI304 stainless is used throughout for strength and corrosion resistance - this coupled with an SBR rubber retaining washer makes the CQ Inox range ideal for many harsh envi- ronments. For ease of access, key pat- terns on the CQ locks are available as two-wing and triangular types using polyamide technopolymer keys for convenience and security.
industry standard 140mm size to suit all types of door, draw and case appli- cations, including working tempera- tures up to 140°C.
M8943 series are lightweight and shatterproof with the low-cost benefits of thermoplastic and the smooth gloss finish usually associated with conven- tional thermoset materials. Due to the ease of colouring thermoplastic, Elesa now offer black, grey, yellow, orange, red and blue as standard ex-stock options.

The bright gloss finish, non-shatter material and blind reverse mounting features have significant advantages in cleaning, which is beneficial in food processing and packaging.
Locks and latches
Elesa are delighted to have this full range of quality locks and latches in their portfolio. Specifically for use in access panels, switchgear boxes, gen- eral enclosures, ancillary cabinets and electrical enclosures, they include IP65 and padlockable varieties.
IP65 anti-rotation latch The IP65 CSMT-A T handle latch is a novel design incorporating an anti- rotational device which prevents the handle (and the closing lever/cam/tab) from rotating accidentally, e.g. through vibration or buffeting. It is especially suited to use on cabinets and access doors where this may be an issue. Operation is simple – unlocking by normal key followed by pulling and turning the T handle to release the sprung interlock. Turning the handle back into the closed/locked position automatically engages the anti-rotation mechanism and the handle may be locked again.
Gloss finish grab handles
For a long time a high gloss finish was only achievable with thermoset plas- tics but now another Elesa innovation has created a range of gloss finish, high impact strength thermoplastic han- dles. Six colours are available in

These latches and handles include the CX IP65 safety lock, CS/M T handle, CQ recessed key (triangular and double- bar types), as well as the standard 180° CS type. Many key types and closing levers are available to suit specialist enclosure requirements. Also, for wing knob operation the CM and CML (pad- lockable) are useful options.
