Nine Telecom bags top billing company

NINE Telecom Group has acq- uired 100% of the Share Capital of Dataflow Communications. This deal represents a sig- nificant investment for Nine Telecom Group, not just in terms of the substantial sum paid for the business, but also regarding its plans to invest and further develop the solution. James Palmer, CEO of Nine

Telecom, commented: “While we are proud of the Billie billing platform we acquired via our purchase of Club Communications, the platform itself was not capable of being developed to provide some of the functionality we now see as important for the future of the independent reseller. “We therefore had two

options: We could start from scratch and develop a new solu- tion, or we could look at solu- tions already in the marketplace and make an acquisition. “Having reviewed the mar- ketplace over the last 12 months we believe that with Dataflow, and in particular its web-based Cascade billing solution, we have found the right platform for our resellers. “We also believe this will give existing Dataflow custom- ers some key advantages over

the coming years, with par- ticular focus on the Customer Relationship Management fea- tures of the platform,” com- mented Palmer.

Palmer plans to increase the size of the development team and he also confirmed that all the existing Dataflow staff will be staying with the business, which will continue to operate from its existing base in Wells.

Fran Edwards, the former owner of Dataflow Communi- cations, added: “Dataflow’s future and growth is assured, allowing it to continue to pro- vide the same quality service to its clients, retain all of its staff and focus on development of the Cascade WEB billing sys- tem, but now with the backing and support of a much larger and successful group.”

Aastra revamps website

AASTRA has given its web- site a facelift in a move that brings an enhanced user experi- ence, better product content and improved ease of navigation, according to the firm.

The website now focuses on solutions by business need, tech- nology, industry and company size to enable visitors to quickly find the products and services that best fit their requirements. Colin Mann, the new Marketing Manager for Aastra UK & Ireland, noted that the redesign is part of a global effort

by Aastra to increase company awareness and brand consisten- cy across over 100 countries in which it operates.

Mann also pointed out that the new website design pres- ents a consistent global corpo- rate image while allowing each country to highlight the solu- tions and news that are impor- tant in their local markets. He explained: “When rede- signing the website it was of paramount importance to us to make it easier to use for end users, so it can be used more

“This required improved website navigation, better sign- posting and a much improved look and feel. So far we’ve received great feedback on the new website design.

“Additional content will be added, including an expanded library of customer success sto- ries and other resources for con- sultants, partners and resellers.”
