The diode laser system LEDA EPI by Quantel Derma sets new standards for high speed hair removal on all skin types. With its innovative linear scan technology and extraordinarily big spot size of 50 x 12 mm, an entire back can be treated in less than 10 minutes. A number of options make LEDA EPI a highly versatile and profitable device. With the novel FHR® Fractional Hair Removal Technology and the Low Fluence Mode, special programmes are available for the gentle treatment of sensitive skin or darker skin. The unique linear scan method with high penetration depth is exceptionally efficient for superficial and for deeper lying hair. Even fine hair can be removed easily by short pulses with very high fluence. Other than the proven wavelength 808 nm for lighter skin types, an additional handpiece with 980nm is available for patients with darker skin. The intuitive treatment wizard supports the operator by suggesting the appropriate treatment parameters according to the individual patient’s needs. To increase patient comfort, either a contact cooling or an air cooling device can be attached to the handpiece.
