up and the westerly breeze to fill. Soon enough zephyrs of breeze began wafting across the bay. The race committee, determined to start the races, set their marks and performed an exceptional exercise in fleet management. Each fleet would sail at least two races on Sunday with light, westerly breeze and challenging fleet competition. By the end of day two Absolutely
had won the trophy for best overall performance. Laney Gale and her Olson 911 Blue Martini had won the P30 trophy. The SJ 24 fleet would be won by Mitch Rinella’s Skamakowa. The highly competitive and picturesque Etchells fleet would be won by Craig Cooper, where podium position was separated by only one point. The Kelly O’Neil Cup
was awarded to the SJ 24’s Magic Juan, Renaissance and Skamakowa; team Viking from Oak Harbor Yacht Club. The Kelly O’Neil Cup is awarded to the best overall racing team. Teams of three boats from each participating regional yacht club enter to earn the honor of this coveted award. Thank you to the sponsors:
