After 10 years at the helm of the
Wooden Boat Festival, I am still inspired and energized by this event. Not for a moment do I cease to be amazed when people pour into our little town, wooden boats pack Point Hudson marina and thousands of hearts beat together in what truly is a one-of-a-kind boat event. Story after story flows into my inbox and conversations of connections renewed after decades, friends made, projects and partnerships started, dreams rekindled and love for each other and our boats publicly expressed without a hint of shame and loaded with passion. You don't have to own a wooden boat or build one to experience the bliss, but there's no denying the beauty and craftsmanship especially when concentrated in Port Townsend is wooden boat bliss. Mark your calendar s for
September 7-9, 2012, the 36th Wooden Boat Festival. Follow us on Facebook@ Wooden Boat Foundation and keep in touch at
