OFF THE RECORD

This week we announce the winner of the UFC Industry Fitness Challenge, two of the UK games industry’s finest cycle home from Germany and IGN achieves new milestones. And, impossibly, we find a reason to watch Big Brother

JUDGEMENT DAY

The trash-talking can finally come to an end – we have a winner for MCV’s UFC Industry Fitness Challenge. Thanks to his real-life Street

Fighterskills, Capcom’s Leo Tan won the £1,000 cash prize. And, after much deliberation with runner-up Guy Cocker (of GameSpot UK), the Las Vegas trip was donated to charity. He was chosen by judges

from MCV, THQ and British UFC fighter Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett (pictured in the UFC T-shirt with Tan and THQ’s Sam Brace).

Several contestants were on hand to congratulate Tan, before immediately falling off the wagon with donuts and a trip to the pub. Don’t you just love happy endings? MCVwould like to thank everyone who took part. Keep on hitting those mitts.

FACE RACE Some cheeky Codemasters staff managed to sneak their faces into the F1 2011 photo mosaic ad that ran in our Gamescom special (MCV 650 12/08/11). Spotted beneath the driver’s armpit were comms boss Rich Eddy, brand director Hayley Holland and digital marketing chief Lizzie Wilding.

Let us know if you’ve spotted anyone else.
