‘THE ONLY rule of Supremacy MMA is that there are no rules.’ The game’s tagline perfectly sets up the bloody and brutally realistic experience that awaits players in arguably the most gruesome mixed martial arts title around. The brawler sets out to bring players the gritty realism of unlicensed MMA fighting complete with all its blood, kicks and broken bones through fast-paced arcade- style fighting.
With no referees or rules, players can look forward to dishing out attack combinations that end in real injuries such as mangled arms, snapped knees and broken necks, with blood-stained faces a post- match norm. This immediately sets it apart from competitors EA Sports MMAand UFC Undisputed. “Supremacy MMAis the only MMA arcade simulation fighting game for Xbox 360 and PS3 out this year,” says 505 Games senior product manager Juliette Fielder.
“This game is really different to
what is available on the market right now. We are giving an arcade-style yet fun slant on MMA which we feel will perform really well in the market.” Supremacy MMA also includes real in-game fighters such as former

UFC champion Jens Pulver and MMA females Michele Gutierrez and Felice Herrig as playable fighters for the first time. Players can master the two main fighting styles, Karate and Muay Thai, both present in the game, complete with a wide range of individual stances, moves and
counter attacks. These include kicks, throws and the special Muay Thai Clinch grapple.
NO PAIN, NO GAIN
Players can acquire experience points and progress through differing dramatic storylines in the single-player mode. There’s also online multiplayer that allows them to break the legs of players from across the world. Supremacy MMAincludes plenty of exotic in-game environments as well as Muay Thai training camps, breathtaking Japanese arenas and even the less dignified strip joints, complete with female spectators watching the bloodshed from the comfort of a pole.
With its violent realism, Supremacy MMAlooks set to be one of the most uncompromising brawlers of the year – something that will no doubt appeal to both fighting gamers as well as fans of the extreme sport itself.
A range of retailers will reward consumers who pre-order with exclusive game content and fighters. Amazon will provide Boa Quach whilst GAME sales will include Shane Del Rosario.
Play.com will give gamers the chance to fight in the Slaughterhouse Arena and HMV provides the Glass Slipper Strip Club.
