Preventing Surgical Site Infections: Are you ready for NPSG.07.05.01?
Surgical site infection (SSI) prevention is an important component of any infection prevention program. The Joint Commission has emphasized this by including it as a National Patient Safety Goal beginning in 2009. Infection preventionists must be prepared to partner with surgical service to educate, measure, and commu- nicate effective strategies that will prevent SSIs in their patient populations. This webinar reviews the basic components of SSI prevention and provides guidance in creating an effective program that will meet the NPSG.07.05.01 requirements.
