The target audience includes infection preventionists, infusion therapy nurses, and any nurse interested in finding solutions to troubling clinical problems and using best evidence as a basis for practice.

Partner in Prevention The national focus on infection prevention, mandates for infection reporting, and discontinuation of reim- bursement for certain preventable infections have made healthcare workers increasingly aware of the need for partnership and collaboration. Infection preventionists and operating room nurses share the goal of prevention of surgical site infections but have not always worked in a collaborative environment. This session describes the barriers, as well as strategies to improve collaboration and create a partnership. Suitable for infection preventionists, operating room nurses, technicians, and sterile processing personnel.
