The four world cruises featured in this brochure will take you to many different far fl ung places. Aurora circumnavigates the world, sailing west, heading fi rst for the Caribbean before making for Asia via Honolulu, New Zealand and Australia, then taking in India and the Middle East. Azura sets sail on her Maiden World Cruise a momentus and exciting occasion, she will be undertaking our longest 2013 World Cruise at 110 nights. The Middle East and India feature fi rst, followed by a journey around Southeast Asia to Australia, before returning via South Africa, Namibia, St Vincent and Madeira. As one of the largest ships within our fl eet, Azura is the perfect World Cruise companion offering spacious decks and a variety of dining and entertainment experiences.
Both Adonia and Arcadia take you to South America to experience the vibrant cities of Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Santiago. But, while Adonia’s smaller form allows her to travel up the Amazon to Manaus, Arcadia instead heads for Australia and New Zealand.
A World Cruise is about so much more than the destinations you visit. It’s as much about life on board. As you sail between destinations you have the freedom and time to just relax. The spa, for example, offers treatments that refl ect the cultures you visit. So you could have a Balinese head massage when the ship moors in Bali or an Indian head massage in Mumbai. And you’ll sample new dishes too, both on board and ashore, as you travel from port to port and one culinary culture to another. Often you’ll be joined by wine experts who will explain their territory’s vintages and suggest best buys for when you return home.
For many though, the entertainment on board a ship is one of the most important factors in deciding on a cruise line, our Entertainment Offi cers always schedule plenty of events. In fact, there are so many, it’s impossible to attend all of them. Highlights include the talks from famous guest speakers and celebrity guests, who will share their personal insights and, uniquely for World Cruises, guest entertainers local to the destinations visited often come aboard for a few days at a time. Arcadia and Aurora have cinemas showing the latest

releases, not to be outdone though, Azura has an open-air cinema screen and Adonia has fi lm screenings in her showlounge. And they have theatres where our own Headliners Theatre Company often premier shows so you’ve the fi rst chance to see West End style musical productions and more. Adding further choice are international cabaret artists, classical concerts and live music from our on board bands who play everything from disco to jazz and classical.
For many, a World Cruise is a once in a lifetime treat: often a reward after a long period of working hard or a celebration of a special anniversary. But World Cruises aren’t just for experienced cruisers; there’s a real mix of passengers on board our ships. In fact a third of all holidaymakers haven’t cruised before. Our World Cruises appeal to a wide age range too, typically around a third are below retirement age at 55-64 and just under half are between 65 and 74. If you’ve been on one of our cruises before, you’ll know about the real sense of camaraderie between passengers that develops as soon as you get on board. On a World Cruise, you feel this even more strongly. Something that the nomadic twenty something explorer will have to wait to experience.
