WAR GAMES are more popular today than they ever have been. Call of Dutyhas amassed a colossal following to say the least, while the Command & Conquer, WarCraft and StarCraftstrategy titles have picked up a loyal fanbase for their deep, tactical gameplay. Storm: Frontline Nationis the latest PC strategy title that places gamers on the frontlines of war. But unlike Command & Conquer, it features a turn-based system more akin to the popular DS war series Advance Wars.

The title boasts customisable maps, a diplomacy menu where players can trade resources and forge alliances, a dynamic weather system that changes from day to night and a lengthy single-player mode. There are 45 nations to choose from and hundreds of regions to do battle in. Players can fight each other online and command upgradable units to attack on water, on land and in the air. Gameplay in the first two titles is a successful mix of third-person shooting, platforming, Tomb Raider- style puzzles and exploration tethered with a film-like narrative and impressive voiceovers. The result is an epic journey for gamers.
