FAVORITE TRIATHLON: Hamburg — the fan support is incredible, the venue is completely unique and it smells like crepes.
WHAT WOULD REPRESENTING THE U.S. IN THE OLYMPICS MEAN TO YOU? It would be a dream coming true. I am extremely proud to represent the U.S. and representing my country at the most important athletic venue would be an even more incredible honor.
PRE-RACE SUPERSTITIONS: I can’t race with clean hair; I’m too worried that my swim cap will slip off.
HOBBIES: Critter spotting
FAVORITE QUOTE: “Success is the peace of mind that is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming,” John Wooden.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?Play baseball with my 4-year-old, go for walks with my wife and kids, spend a weekend in the mountains with my family to get away.
FAVORITE POST-RACE MEAL: Big, juicy hamburger
FAVORITE ALL-TIME OLYMPIC MOMENT: Watching the Dream Team win the gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Games. Amazing!
