Catalina 27 Rendezvous July 1-3


The Catalina 27 Rendezvous


committee, based in Nanaimo, BC is organizing the 3rd annual Rendezvous, to be held this year on the Canada Day weekend at Maple Bay Marina. The weekend activities will kick off


on Saturday morning with an informal open house. Crews are invited to compete in our Best Dressed crew/ sailboat contest in keeping with the July 1st Canada Day theme. Crews will have the opportunity to


visit the city of Duncan or during the day there will be games, followed by a visit to the dock by the "Windjammers" who will share their songs. On Saturday evening there will be a meal, served by the Shipyard pub & restaurant. The weekend's festivities wind up


on Sunday night, hopefully having succeeded in fostering new friendships with our American neighbors. For registration, moorage, and event information email: g.barb@shaw.ca

Islander Freeport Sailboats and their owners and families/friends at the Brownsville Marina. On Friday we will have a happy hour on the dock. Saturday potluck, bonfire. Sunday breakfast and whatever else we dream up by then. We can discuss the FOGgers site as they relate to our own boats and problems. Slips at the Brownsville Marina have been reserved. A couple who lived, led and


nourished the fiberglass sailboat revolution will be honored guests at Signature Yachts’ All-Fleet Rendezvous at Port Ludlow. Tom and Jane Schock are central figures in the rise and continued success of the W.D. Schock Corporation. The Schock’s presentation on the


sailboat industry history will be just one feature of the rendezvous, part of a three-day Port Ludlow Festival by the Bay. The shore and harbor-based festival also includes music, sports competitions, a racing regatta, vendors, food, fun and fireworks. For information contact Signature
