Plumbing Industry Council and Plumbers’ & Pipefitters’ Local #562 assist local families with plumbing repairs


ST. LOUIS— Forty-three families benefited from the time, talent and donations of local union plumbing


held on Saturday, April 30th, 2011. Plumbing Industry Council (PIC) contractors, supplier members and members of Plumbers’ and Pipefitters’ Local #562 joined together in providing plumbing repairs and home renovations for elderly, low- income and disabled residents in the St. Louis area. Honeywell revitalizes Harrisburg summer camp


HARRISBURG, PA.— Honeywell and Rebuilding Together Greater Harrisburg led a renovation project at Camp Sertoma, a non-profit summer camp for people of all ages with developmental disabilities. Honeywell donated $5,000 in materials and more than 25


employees from Honeywell, Rebuilding Together Greater Harrisburg and Oil Heat Cares volunteered their time with projects to improve the camp facilities including yard work, alarm system upgrades, and window and bunk replacements.


Plumbing Industry Council donated service trucks loaded with tools. A wide array of plumbing products (sinks, faucets, toilets, etc.) were also donated by Plumbing Industry Council affiliate (supplier) members. Finally, over 200 members of Plumbers’ and Pipefitters’ Local #562 donated their time and talent to assist those in need. The homes for Rebuilding


Together St. Louis are selected after being referred to the program by churches, neighborhood and community service organizations. Individual homeowners can also request services of the program. Applications are prioritized based upon needs and qualifications before final selections are made.

MENOMONEE FALLS, WIS.— Bradley Corp. has received the Governor’s Export Achievement Award in the Larger Manufacturer business category for achieving extraordinary results in international sales and helping to contribute to Wisconsin’s increased ability to compete in a global market. The award was presented by Wis. Gov. Scott Walker May 10 at the 47th Annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee. Criteria for the award include degree of export-related growth; innovative techniques and approaches that resulted in the company’s success; and demonstration of extra effort in capturing worldwide markets.
