Gamma Telecom is poised to launch an all-new communications service that, according to Richard Bligh, Marketing Director, goes way beyond PBX replacement. Here, he explains the significance of the Horizon hosted fixed/mobile service to the channel, and makes a strong business case for an exciting new channel prospect.
Horizon, which, says Bligh, places high margin Unified Communications solution selling into the hands of resellers. He describes the launch as ‘a complete communications service for business’, providing a range of fixed telephony and business mobile capabilities via an easy-to-use web portal. “The service, which sits comfortably in any sized organisation from single

Key components
A number of key components make up Horizon, including a choice of handsets from
Cisco, Polycom and Yealink, an easy-to-use web portal that can be accessed from any device, Gamma’s IP network and support services, while the call controller from Broadsoft sits at its core giving full PBX functionality and more. “The thing that makes Horizon stand out is the end-to-end service. This includes assured access, the automation of Gamma processes behind the service, and the easy-to-use web interface for end customers,” added Bligh. “Our goal with the user interface was simple: It has to be easy- to-use where features are easily accessible and the language is jargon free, giving a positive experience for both using the service and monitoring performance.”
