Demand for VoIP hots up
ENTANET aims to achieve big growth in its hosted VoIP and SIP trunking services in 2011. While VoIP has featured in
the firm’s product kit bag for some time, the last 12 months have proved pivotal with inter- est in VoIP grow significantly. Elsa Chen, General Manager of Entanet, said: “For any resell- er that’s currently selling broad- band and other data connectiv- ity services, or traditional PBX related telephony sales, VoIP is an easy and essential step to take to diversify their revenue streams and set themselves up for further growth.”
Chen pointed out that busi- nesses of all sizes are starting to realise that they can do more with their broadband and leased line connections than access and distribute information. “The growing acceptance of the con- cept of hosted applications has been a big driver in VoIP com- ing to the fore,” she said. “We’ve seen a noticeable rise in the number of enqui- ries our partners are making for

VoIP services and are anticipat- ing further growth in the current year and into 2012.”
Chen added that Entanet has
targeted 100% growth for its VoIP business for both the cur- rent year and 2012.
“All of that growth will be driven through our reseller part- ners,” she commented. “We’re at a significant inf- lection point in the development of this market, and we aim to ensure that we carry our part- ners with us as we ride on that growth wave.”
Call blocker puts an end to rogue callers
NIMANS has launched an exclusive call blocker which puts an end to unwanted calls at the touch of a button.
The device comes pre-pro- grammed with 200 numbers of the worst known offenders and can automatically remember 100 more.
Based on smart technology, the device is also fax compatible and has been developed by CPR Global (The Call Prevention Registry), an anti-nuisance call service provider. A ‘Block Now’ button is located on top of the unit which when pressed cuts off a caller with the number logged into its memory and permanently
blocked. The device will also reject any caller who withholds their number.
