INDUSTRY COMMENT
MARK STACEY Middle East product manager Cox and Kings “Our bookings to The Gulf
have been unaffected by the wider picture in the Middle East. The UAE and Oman are perceived as stable and safe to travel to. "Twin-centre options are becoming more popular with clients looking to combine the cities with more relaxing beach-side holidays in places like Ajman and Ras Al-Kaimah or the interiors of Oman and Abu Dhabi." (See Gulf States feature, page 15)
SUSANA GUERRERO Undersecretary, Ecuador Ministry of Tourism "After our new branding,
'Love Life', which we unveiled in 2010, Ecuador's visitor arrivals this April were up 24 per cent, year-on-year. We're working towards our annual target of 1.1 million visitors, with the launch of an ad campaign in June. Under the headline 'I discovered', the campaign will detail reasons to visit Ecuador in the categories of nightlife, activities, landscape, culture, luxury and nature, including, of course, the Galapagos." (See Galapagos feature, page 41)

Jo Austin has all the scoops on pages 28 and 29. Elsewhere in the magazine, you'll find our regular extensive
