Brand-Rex recognised as leader in copper cabling market
For the third year running, Brand-Rex has been recognised as the UK’s premiere manufacturer of copper cabling products.
The latest market research, carried out by specialist building consultants BSRIA, compared all the leading UK businesses and reports that Brand-Rex achieved the number one position for both the largest quantity of outlets sold and the highest overall sales revenue. The figures show that Brand-Rex increased its overall UK market share by 1.4 per cent in 2010, despite the difficult economic conditions. Ian Wilkie, supply chain director at Brand-Rex, commented, ‘2010 was not a year without challenges. Whilst the market remained a fierce place to compete, a change in our distribution partner strategy at the start of the year forced us to take a more direct supply route to a proportion of our installer base. The higher service levels required to support this customer type resulted in us upping our game to an even higher level on the customer service front, which ultimately benefits all.’
