Your Volvo engineer is qualified to carry out a comprehensive inspection of the machine, including undercarriage, and if required can undertake regular LOLER and PUWERinspection and testing to ensure that your equipment remains legal on site, even calibrating Safe Load Indicators for those machines used in lifting operations.
Regular oil sample analysis and MATRIS diagnostic system reports assist in setting out efficient preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring that any downtime is planned and integrated into the fleet management system.
For those customers opting for the Silver and Gold level CSA, the requirement to operate with a fixed, known service and mainte- nance cost is an essential component of a successful operation. Through the use of Volvo’s Caretrack telematic system Volvo can interrogate the machine before arrival on site, ensuring that the technician has the necessary parts to carry out a rapid and comprehensive service or repair, reducing downtime and keeping your equipment working efficiently.
All agreements are based on hours worked, not calendar months, so you only pay for actual profitable machine use, increasing your return on investment. In addition being able to provide a compre- hensive dealer service history, backed by manufacturer reports, will add to the desirability and residual value of your machinery come resale time.
Customers can choose the CSA to meet their individual requirements, adding extras such as undercarriage maintenance and even ground engaging tool repairs if desired. In each case they only need take on the exact agreement to suit their needs, saving money and providing the fleet manager with known costs throughout the life of the machine.
“Our offerings are completely flexible,” says Volvo CE engineering manager Martyn Brawn.“We will work with the customer to tailor it to meet their needs. Whatever their requirement, they have the back-up of the entire Volvo organisation.”
By offering a fixed cost service and maintenance agreement, Volvo is taking the risk out of machine ownership, allowing contractors and plant hire companies to concentrate on their own business.
