Walk on White | Continued Other students and local Key Westers contributing to the show include Janet Hinkle, Cynthia Essenberg and Sonia Robinson. Te evening also serves as a reception

for Te Land of Sunshine, a collection of photographs by TSKW artist-in-resi- dence Liz Murphy Tomas. Setting out to capture the disappearing monuments along Florida’s US1, Murphy Tomas created this series of 26 18x12-inch archival dye prints. Much of Tomas’ work explores the conceptual histories of tourist sites and the broader sociological underpinnings of tourism. Te Land of Sunshine attempts to document some of these older tourist attractions before all traces of them are gone. Liz Murphy Tomas is an artist, pho-

tographer and educator. Her artwork in- vestigates issues of identity, memory and the associations we give to our posses- sions. She holds a BFA in Creative Pho- tography from the University of Florida and MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Maryland Institute Col- lege of Art. Te Land of Sunshine and the Ab-

stract Painting Seminar Show will be on view through April 5. Te evening also will serve as a reception for Katie Truax Alexander’s Fusion Series in the Armory Sculpture Garden. e
