In order for OpenText to build an electronic trading platform that sufficiently meets GW’s needs, a team effort across several GW departments has been crucial in shaping the technical design and specification provided.


OpenText is presently building the agreed platform functionality and will go live by end of the Second Quarter of this year. In Phase One, the platform will initially be launched for use by the GW Mobile Benefits Unit, Pricing Underwriters and Client Services. It is proposed that in Phase Two, GW’s Caribbean operation will be integrated into the platform. Phase Three will bring on board UnitedHealth International, one of GW’s partners in the United States.


It is an exciting time for both GW staff and clients alike. The technological developments outlined here will be the cornerstone of GW’s future Web strategy, including a new Social Media platform. We eagerly await the platform launch and enjoying the benefits of its impact on efficiency once it has been fully implemented.
