Braintree District Council is now part of the parking partnership with Colchester Borough Council and Uttlesford District Council, which now have a total of 47 Safer Parking awards. Over the past 12 months, security teams at Braintree’s facilities have only experienced two recorded vehicle-related crimes.
Clean bill of health
Te Royal Sussex County Hospital Brighton, part of the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, has again retained its Safer Parking status following re-assessments by the Sussex Police Accredited Assessor and Mike Bibby, the BPA
development manager. Over the past 12 months,
more than 5550,000 vehicles have passed through the facility and yet there has not been any vehicle-related incidents recorded – an excellent record for a hospital parking site.
Cheshire cat smiles… the team at Ellesmere with their award Safe port in a storm
Ellesmere Port, in Cheshire, has proven for the second year running that it is a safe place for residents and visitors to park their vehicles. Nine of Cheshire West and Chester Council’s car parks in the industrial area have achieved Safer Parking Awards. Te council’s executive
member for community and environment, councillor Lynn Riley said: ‘I’m delighted that we’ve been able to retain these awards. Tis demonstrates how the council is committed to providing high-quality car parks that give both residents and visitors a feeling of safety and security.’
