INSTALLATION NEW MEXICO SNOW: 2008 SANTA FE 1 8
The ignition harness is very hard to make connections to without removing from the ignition switch first. Unplug and remove the factory tape to expose the wires: 12V Constant - Red & Pink (+); 12V Ignition 1 - Orange (+); 12V Ignition 2 - Red (+); 12V Accessory - Yellow (+); Starter - Green (+)

Prep the remote start module and harness.

Next, remove the driver’s side sill plate and kick panel. This will allow you to drop the lower dash panel as well as access the lock/unlock wires later.

Remove the (2) Phillips head screws from the lower dash panel.

Carefully pull the lower dash panel toward you and remove the harnesses shown. Note: the harness and switches are color coded with stickers for re-installation.

With a plastic panel pop tool, pop off the side dash piece to expose the (2) Phillips head screws securing the lower dash panel. These must be removed as well.
At the foot brake switch the brake wire Green/Black (+) can be found.
With a 10mm socket, remove the (4) 10mm bolts securing the lower dash brace in place.

The power door lock (Blue/Black -) and unlock (Gray/Black -) wires are found in the driver-side kick panel in a brown plug leading into the driver’s door.

The parking light wire (Blue/Orange -) is found in the main harness coming from the steering column. You can also find the horn wire (Yellow/Blue -) here as well. Note: most wiring software state the horn wire is gray. The horn wire for this vehicle was found to be Yellow/Blue.
