AAMP of America AAMP of America introduced new
products for its iSimple, PAC and Phoenix Gold brands. The company’s new iSimple TranzIt BLU uses a hybrid FM modulator/Bluetooth connection and is designed for smartphones run- ning Android OS. The MediaWire PRO allows a user to play content from an iPod, iPhone or iPad through any video source with RCA inputs.
PAC PP-SWI
In its PAC line, AAMP introduced its PP-SWI ($59.95), a handheld module used to program the company’s SWI-RC, SWI-JACK and SWI-PS modules. Once connected, the PP-SWI module auto- matically programs all button functions. In the company’s Phoenix Gold line, AAMP introduced new SD amplifiers in three models: a 600-watt monoblock, a 500-watt four-channel amplifier and an 800-watt five-channel amp (MSRP ranges between $349 and $449). Next, the company showed its SL-Series of “slim mount” subwoofers, which are designed for small, sealed box installa- tions. The SL Series products features a mounting depth of 3.5 inches on the 10-inch version and 4 inches on the 12-inch version. The company’s SL sub- woofers are rated for 300 watts RMS/ 600 watts peak power. Next, the company introduced its new
Phoenix Gold Ti2-Series of subwoofers, which will be available in 10-inch (the Ti210D, estimated MSRP of $235) and 12-inch (the Ti212D, MSRP of $275) sizes, both with dual 4-ohm impedance,
and of-
fering 600 watts RMS 1,200 watts peak power.
PHOENIX GOLD SL SUBWOOFER
In its line of amplifiers, the company introduced its Ti1600.5, which is a hy- brid design that offers 100 watts x 4 channels at 4 ohms using class A/B topology, while the subwoofer channel features a Class D design that provides 1,000 watts x 1 channel at 1 ohm.
