The brand already has two watchmakers in training at its Maidenhead headquarters, and, without sacrificing quality, is looking to launch a fully British designed and
point in the Radio 4 programme that British watches that are supported by a strong narrative – like his own company’s history and association with Big Ben – find resonance with watch customers. And although Christopher Ward is very much the new boy on the block, the company understands how to create an affinity with watch enthusiasts.
Chris talked about how the Christopher Ward business was stripping away some of the hype associated with the luxury watch sector and was bringing British designed premium watches to watch enthusiasts at accessible prices.
John Harrison – who provides one of the great background stories for Christopher Ward watches – could not have foreseen how his early invention would have evolved into the masterpiece luxury automatic wristwatches of today.
