Terry Thomas, who played the dastardly Sir Cuthbert Ware-Armitage.

1973 Between 1973 and 2008 the
Monte-Carlo Rally was the rally was held in January and was the first event of the FIA World Rally Championship. Until the early 1990s, competitors were able to choose their own starting points for the rally.
Carlo has been the opening round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
2009 Since 2009, the Monte- 2011 The Monte Carlo Rally
celebrated 100 years in January 2011. Glasgow, Barcelona, Warsaw and Marrakesh were the start points for the rally. Frenchman Bryan Bouffier (above), with co-driver Xavier Panseri, is the centenary winner driving a Peugeot France 207 Super 2000. This year's rally was a particularly treacherous event with snowfall affecting all routes.
