The ROAD: What kind of motorcycling do you do outside of the stunt work?
Chesca: I use my stunt bike for day-to- day purposes and the occasional ride with other riders through London and such.
The ROAD: Would you like to travel abroad by bike?
Chesca: Oh this is something the team has been discussing for a long time now. No we haven’t done it but we do intend to, very much so. Starting from Europe and perhaps as far as Africa and beyond. We haven’t spoken in depth but it is something on the Horizon!
The ROAD: What public stunt shows have you got lined up for this year?
Chesca: We’re at the Thundersprint in Northwich on May 7 (
www.thunder-
sprint.com) and the Prescott Bike Festival on April 10 in Cheltenham (
www.prescot-
tbikefestival.co.uk). Our calendar gets up- dated regularly with new events and shows but don’t forget, we also do many other things aside from Stunt riding!
The ROAD: Would you like to race?
Chesca: I used to want to race when I was around 14 years old. I even bought an Aprillia RS 125 and was planning on hav- ing it all kitted out and modified into a great race bike.
Unfortunately though, this was done of my own accord at that young age and my family didn’t show much support at all, so I sold the bike and stopped wanting to race.
The ROAD: Does the health and safety culture bother you?
Chesca: I am very fussy when it comes to stunting around people, especially chil- dren. When we train, we occasionally have people approach us who want to
watch and to ask us questions. I will not carry on if I see them. At events I’m very strict on crowd protection.
The ROAD: Would you like a go at the wall of death?
Chesca: Haha, not really. Although it looks great and I bet it’s a bit of a buzz it’s not really my kind of thing.
The ROAD: Do you think people need a certain level of risk in their lives?
Chesca: If you’re the type of person who desires risk, you should have it. If you don’t then it’s not wise to pursue it. I think that if you force yourself to do something risky that you’re not comfortable with, it could knock your confidence in other areas.
