MAG Annual Group Conference Beverley, East Yorkshire April 9


MAG is a democratic organisation. All individual MAG members are welcome to vote at the Conference which is MAGʼs parliament and can set MAG policy. Affiliate clubs also have voting rights in proportion to their membership. MAG invites and takes notice of opinions from its membership at all times but the AGC is the big occasion where your vote counts.


Location


Beverley Rugby Club 155 Norwood, Beverley, East Yorkshire HU17 9HT. (Located behind the Lady Le Gros pub)


Doors Open from 9.30AM, Free tea and coffee plus sandwich on arrival. Conference starts at 10.30 prompt. Free buffet lunch at 12.30 till 1.15 PM with tea and coffee. A bar will be open during lunch for beers and wines.


Free camping Friday and Saturday night at the Rugby Club but this must be booked in advance by the 3rd of April through the East Yorkshire Rep: Kev Davison (details below) A full English breakfast can also be booked for campers. A night time party has been organised with a band, DJ, cheep beer and fun and frolics, this is open to all delegates and MAG members for free.

Motions to Conference Charity fundraising


Charity begin at home, and MAG is our home. To reinforce MAG's need for funds we are proposing that the current item C ‘The raising of money for donation to local and national charities’ under Section 8, xii be removed from the MAG UK Constitution and the current items D and E be retitled C and D respectively (as shown below). Section 8 Regions, Regional representatives, Local Groups


xii (12) Local members’ groups shall be permitted to undertake the following activities: A. The raising of money for donation to MAG (UK) Ltd central funds B. The raising of money to spend locally on purposes in accordance with MAG's constitution, objectives and principles


C. Lobbying on matters of concern to riders D. Social activities and events
