SOUND DEVICES 788T
The Sound Devices 788T is a portable, 12-track, digital audio recorder with eight full-featured inputs and time code. It features expanded I/O connectivity with the same control of the 7-series. Its eight inputs accept either mic or line-level signals, provide 48V phantom power for condensers, offer peak limiters for microphone inputs and fully adjustable high-pass filters. Support for AES42 digital microphones is also available. Routing flexibility allows each input to be routed to L/R mixed tracks, isolated tracks, or aux tracks. The 788T has three options for recording media – internal 160GB
SATA hard drive (256GB SSD in the 788T-SSD), Compact Flash media with UDMA support, or an external Firewire hard drive or DVD-RAM (with bus powering). A CL-8 controller is also available.
SOUND DEVICES 744T The 744T is a powerful four-track file-based digital audio recorder, which records and plays back audio to and from its internal hard drive, Compact Flash cards, and external Firewire drives. recording and playback from 64kb/s to 320kb/s is also supported. The time code implementation makes the 744T ready for any recording job, from over-the-shoulder to cart-based production. The recorder can be used in conjunction with an outboard audio
mixer such as Sound Devices’ own 442 or 302. It records media to either hard drive, Compact Flash, and external Firewire drives.
NAGRA VI
Richmond also gets a lot of requests the Nargra VI is an eight-channel digital audio recorder. Winner of the 2009 TEC Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement, Nagra VI an eight-channel digital recorder that offers six analog inputs, four that are equipped with traditional high-quality Nagra microphone preamplifiers. There are also two AES inputs and it is fitted with a full SMPTE/EBU time code system including a chase synchroniser. The Nagra VI is delivered with a removable battery box containing a lithium-ion battery pack, a mains power supply and is equipped with a 120GB internal hard disk.
NAGRA LB
Another popular model for Richmond is the Nagra LB, a two-channel, 24 bit, 192kHz ADA recorder. It features a compact flash and internal 2GB flash memory and on-board graphic audio editor. It was designed as the successor to the ARES-C and the ARES-BB+ recorders, and specifically designed for broadcast applications.

THE HDR7 is a portable digital recorder with a full color LCD that can record either MP3 or AAC files of 64 to 320 kbps and WAV (BWF) or AIFF in 16 to 24-bit and 44.1 to 96kHz. THE KORG MR-2 supports a wide range of audio formats, utilising Direct Stream Digital technology to reproduce the original sound. The pro-quality stereo electret condenser mic built into the
MR-2 can rotate toward the front, top, or rear of the unit in eight 30-degree steps, for a total range of 210-degrees. It also provides two screw mounts for attaching to general-purpose camera tripod, allowing flexible micing and positioning. There's also an external input jack for you to connection to external mics. The MR-2 includes 40 selectable recording setups. Each contains its own settings for mic sensitivity, input level, analog limiter, low- cut filter and bass eq. Data recorded on the MR-2 is stored directly to an SD/SDHC card.
