JAKARTA-based cargo carrier Tri-MGAirlines has begun scheduled B737-200 freighter operations to Changi airport. It will fly 12 times a week between Singapore and Jakarta, and eight times a week between Singapore and Balikpapan.

AeroLogic crewmakes history
AN AEROLOGIC B777 freighter aircraft with three women on the flight deck took off fromGermany’s Leipzig/Halle airport in the earlymorning hours of 21 August. The crew comprised Commander Cristina Rossi, Senior First Officer Monika
Kölling and First Officer Stefanie Däubler. Their flight took them via Bahrain to Singapore, before returning to Leipzig/Halle through Delhi. AeroLogic flight operations manager Josef Moser commented: “This is a
premiere in international aviation. Never before has a freighter been crewed by threewomen pilots.” In addition, he pointed out that the percentage of women among the
DHL/Lufthansa Cargo joint venture carrier’s flight crew– around eight percent – is well above the national and international average. “We’re proud of the fact that AeroLogic has so many women pilots,” Moser
affirmed. Saudi adds A310 freighter to its fleet
SAUDI AIRLINES Cargo Company took delivery of an A310 freighter aircraft in August, the firstmid-range freighter to be added to its cargo fleet. Joining the Middle Eastern carrier’s
existing inventory ofMD-11 and B747 freighters, the newequipment’s arrival will allow Saudi Airlines Cargo to “expand into new markets and increase frequency on some existing routes”, commentedMichaelMeagher, executive vice president of Saudi Airlines Cargo Company. “In September, we will commence
