Bobcat promotes improved MT55

Having sold some MT52 models in the past, Bobcat Europe has re-introduced the mini-sized walk- behind tracked loader concept with the third generation MT55, which was displayed at Saltex with an auger attachment. Powered by a Tier 3 compliant 17.5kW Kubota diesel engine, it is a multi-purpose implement carrier that is 903mm wide across its rubber tracks. The machine weighs 1186kg and has a rated operating

payload of 254kg. With its loader arms fully raised, the MT55 has a height to hinge pin of 1807mm and a dump height of 1265mm. Hydrostatic transmission allows maximum speeds of 5.6 km/h forwards and 2.3 km/h in reverse. This machine features greater hydraulic flow and more user-friendly controls than earlier models. As standard, the MT55 is operated by a person walking behind the unit, but as an option, its can be fitted with a hinge-down operator’s platform complete with a rear castor wheel.

Greater force from Probst

New from materials handling specialist, Probst, is the SAH block extractor, a variant of the existing SZ hand-held device. Probst’s Neil Jones told EHN that the SAH is slightly wider and gives greater gripping force for extracting very stubborn blocks that might have been in place for several years. The manufacturer has also introduced larger diameter wheels for the VPH 150 vacuum powered lifter, to enhance manoeuvrability over uneven ground. It is particularly useful in confined spaces that prevent the use of larger machinery.
